Depression

Depression and mood disorders can deeply affect people's lives, but with the right treatment, many can see substantial improvements. My research aims to improve these treatments by combining different methods and working closely with clinical practices. Together, we can help those struggling with these conditions find the relief they need to enjoy happier, healthier lives.

Neuromodulation

Neuromodulation has emerged as a promising treatment for mood disorders, gaining significant interest due to its therapeutic mechanisms and clinical applications. Despite the advancements, there remains much to discover in this complex and expansive field. I have taken an interest in several key neuromodulation techniques, including Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), and transcranial Electrical Stimulation (tES)

Neuroimaging

In my research, I use neuroimaging techniques like Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) to investigate the neurobiological mechanisms underlying psychiatric disorders and their responses to neuromodulation treatments. Neuroimaging provides a window into the brain, enabling us to visualize and analyze its molecular, structural, and functional aspects
